we ended up ordering the lobster curry, the tuna tartar and mussels (tomato basil version or white wine options).

The first dish to come was the lobster curry (16$).  This dish was served with toasted garlic bread.  The lobster pieces in the dish were mostly small claws (from US lobsters).  There were also figs and sun dried tomatoes in the curry.  The figs was an unusual ingredient in the curry, but it really complemented the dish.  There might have been a hint of lemongrass in the curry also.  The lobster tasted like it was pre-steamed/boiled and then recooked in the curry.  Overall, the dish tasted complex, had a lot of flavour and wasn't spicy.

The second dish was the tuna tartar (15$). The tuna tartar is a 3-layered compilation of chopped ahi tuna, avocado and crab meat mixture, and an aragula salad, with two pieces of bread sprinkled with garlic butter, tabasco sauce and balsamic vinegar. The dish was refreshing, the avocado and crab meat was thick and creamy which complemented well the tuna. The aragula salad on top added yet another buttery taste. and then some sauce was sprinkled on the plate which tasted like a mixture of chocolate, miso. Very nice presentation. Overall it was a very good first dish (a bit funny that the curry came out first though as its strong taste might overpower the tartar)

The third dish was the PEI mussels in Tomato Basil sauce (14$). The sauce had a special taste in it. We couldn't identify what it was, we have theories such as using roasted tomatoes or cooking some bacon in the sauce. There was something that involved fire. The mussels were served with the same toasted garlic bread and the mussels were big and juicy and were not overcooked and tough.  Although the enjoyment of them were sometime (2/3)  interrupted by some beards that were still hidden in the mussels.  The unidentified taste was good at masking the fishy taste that are sometimes present in shellfish.

other: the bread was stale.

in conclusion, this serves as a good date place and a place to hang out.  It is a very decent place with reasonably priced food, but we could not understand why it was so quiet on a Saturday night. th bill came out to about 50$ for two people not including tip, a normal price for seafood.  We will want to come back to try the buck a shuck special one day.
